The Meep is Returned! (Oh! Horror!)
Report on the midwest later, song now.
On the sidewalk, I am trying
to avoid ice that's liquefying.
I'm so forlorn
because on this morn,
I'm walking in a New York slushyland.
On Friday, seasons were changing,
but it seems there's been rearranging.
We'll spend all our days,
90 degrees out of phase,
walking in a New York slushyland.
On the pavement I can see the salt stains
collecting on my shoes and spread around.
I'm sick and tired of the assorted pains
from stepping on black ice and falling down.
As for now, I am yearning
for the South - one day I'll be returning...
It's time to get wired,
Earl Grey tea for the tired,
Escape from the New York slushyland.
