22 Sept 99
You know you're not in the city anymore when you see slugs on the sidewalk
when you walk home at night.
So right now (maybe) the co-op board is deciding whether or not I'll be
living in the Highlander. If they give me shit, I am done with that
place. It's a nice building, but I don't need to deal with people so
pathetic that a co-op board is their only exercise of power. Feh.
Let's see, I got paid $60 the other day for doing nothing more than
traveling somewhere. I won't argue with that. I paid for a piece of
crap, and got a piece of crap, at Nat'l Liquidators. I'm gonna go a step
up next to Kmart. Then maybe Radio Shack. It seems I have a very bad
influence on tape players. They just don't like me. I'm gonna make a
prediction -- within 2 months of Stuart putting a nice stereo in my
apartment, the tape player will stop working.
And back by popular demand (well, the one person who counts when it comes
to this) - my schedule:
(and I'm sorry hon that I'm not emailing this, but for some reason the
cims Mailer-Daemon is telling me the rest of the world does not exist.
Other people seem to be able to find me, but it can't even find other
people at cims...)
Transit time = 1 hour. Keep that in mind. I am not including my NPR
listening habits, as you should know I try to listen to the entire program
unless I'm supposed to be somewhere.

Those are all my =regular= activities. Often there are talks on Mondays &
Fridays that I go to. Lots of them are at lunchtime.
In between times I'm usually sitting in front of this computer, playing
backgammon, reading news, or wondering why my matrix dimensions aren't
matching.
There was an article on a couple of math grad students at Duke today in
the N&O. Makes one feel all fuzzy inside.
DAMMIT THE OUTSIDE WORLD EXISTS!
