Too many nines, shazbot.
Too many mimes? or was that mines....
I have to wonder why some people (well, except for one person) reads these
driblets... Inspiration comes rarely, and if you =really= wanted to know
what was up, you'd call or email or something, dammit.
Oh rooty tooty fresh n fruity, I'm sucking at backgammon.
So what else is new...
Well, I went to Disney's Animal Kingdom this past weekend (word to the
wise: if you're spending you're own money, take a pass at this. There is
some interesting info and a couple cute rides, but there's more to the
Asheboro zoo... which is also a lot cheaper....), and I had the pleasure
of hailing a cab on ugly slushy streets at 5 am and seeing my plane be
de-iced 4 times while sitting on the runway for an hour and watch the Jets
suck in the playoffs (not that I really cared, but it looked =awful=)
As you can see, when bitching (or relating anything really), I don't pay
especial attention to matters of syntax and grammar.
Let's see, and today I went on the fool's errand of trying to buy 1-cent
stamps. That's the busiest I've seen a post office at 2 pm, let me tell
you.
However, on the good side of things, I got to see some relatives, my
Grandpa turned 75, I got my own class to teach (Elem. Stats), I'm trying
to learn a new language (German or Chinese, we'll see), and I got to
paddle a canoe quite a ways with John, with some interesting manuevering
over a log, I'm almost finished with a shawl, and I actually finished the
left front of a sweater.
Which reminds me, perhaps I should announce my Resolution for 1999:
I will buy no more yarn until I finish a sweater.
I think I may actually keep that one. But I like to make promises that I
can keep.
Anyway, the weather is pretty nice here (40s I think, and sunny) and I've
got a class in an hour or so (Computational Genomics), so toodley pipski.
