So I'm waiting for this guy to realize the reason his stuff isn't printing
is because there's no paper in the printer... Of course, I could go put
paper in the printer myself, but I'm kinda lazy.

Hmmm, the stuff of urban legends... Baby Born With Bullet Wound. Luckily
it was only a grazing.

I learned last night to pay a little more attention to which subway train
I sit down in. I was so happy to see empty seats that I didn't even
notice I was headed on an Astoria-bound N, not a Forest Hills-bound
R. Luckily, the main difference between the N & R, namely that N is above
ground in Queens, is what immediately clued me in. Also luckily, the 7
train to Flushing intersects with the N's first Queens stop and then
intersects with the E & F at Roosevelt Avenue... actually, I didn't add
that much more time to my ride and I got a nice view of one of the U.S.'s
"Millennial Paths" (whatever that means).

I've started a "diet" which basically consists of counting calories. I
don't restrict any foods or anything like that, I just count how many
calories everything has and I aim for a total under 2000. I'm thinking of
buying a scale today, but I don't know. I'll go see how expensive they
are and then decide. It's kind of nice to diet and not know what one
actually weighs. It takes some of the pressure off.

Ah, good, paper was put in.

I saw this headline this morning: Mass. to Ban Computer Dumping (I
suppose because of the toxic contents). Every time I see that headline
(because I go to several different news sites, it pops up at each one) I
keep seeing it as a ban on computer dating. Not that I've seen that
advertised recently.

So this morning I got laundry done and wrote some letters on my nice
cotton paper (and made it monogrammed courtesy my calligraphy pen). I am
willing to be an actual pen pal (as opposed to email pal) to anybody, but
I ask that they write me first. One must write letters to get
letters. As of now, I get letters (or notes) from my grandmothers and my
cousin Rhonda.

Let's see, I bought three books yesterday: one on calculus of variations,
one full of math teasers (high school math level), and one about
names, with a psychological, sociological, and historical viewpoint. I'm
kind of tired and hungry right now (and yes, Stuart, I know the difference
between being hungry and having an empty stomach. nyah.)
