Well, here I sit in the little entrance area of the Terai's house.  When I
arrived at about 3:20 I rang twice, but there was no answer and the door
is just as locked as ever.  Anyway I'm sitting on the not-so-dirty
concrete wondering why Mrs. Terai didn't tell me she wouldn't be at home
and am hoping someone will come home soon -- I need to go to the bathroom
(eventually), I'm thirsty and I'm tired (otherwise I'd be walking around
looking for a place to shop.  In fact I think I'll go to Lawson and see if
I can find word cards... forget it - she had just come in a cab -- she
thought that I'd be coming back later.  They're making a big deal of some
lady who got put on the new cabinet (I think she's on the cabinet.)  The
dollar went down to 97 yen.  You know, I've begun to see how much of
economoy is made up...
 
