Moon Day 98
Luna Moths released to the city's trees on a nasty, nasty day. I had been
thinking about going, but I expect there to be some stormy weather.
Wandering in nearby blocks I rarely meander along, waiting for the washer
to finish, I love to eat tacos. No I don't. Ignore previous statements.
Trying to get myself in a writing mood, I find that nonsense phrases will
just pop in. The mundane is crowded out by that which is purple. and
possibly spangled.
What is the possibly spangled? That which is able to have sequins
attached, or that which is likely to be so? "Do" is one of the strangest
verbs out there. It's a pro-verb. One needs it to negate verbs. I love.
I don't love. I love not? No 'ne .. pas" or "-nai" for us. 'Tis only
"do".
Under what kind of heading would one find diagramming sentences? Books on
grammar tend to talk about comparative linguistics, books on sentences
mainly talk about criminal justice procedures. Alas, the lot of the
non-trendy academic subject is to be dusty, remembered by those with
wistful memories of days spent dissecting, analyzing, synthesizing to some
structure sent from on high.
Alas. A lass. What I am, or was, but not likely to be in time to come.
