26 June 98
=yawn=
I can't wait to get an air conditioner for my apt. I would like to stay
at home for awhile instead of scurry off to the office at 8am so that I
will be nice and cool on a dangerously hot day like this.
I mean, 98 degree high, high humidity, and it's only June! It's like I
never left Savannah in the first place. But in Savannah our house was
cooled, though our school was not...
I remember a couple of kids in my elementary school had heat stroke, and
ambulances coming to pick them up. That's what you get for participating
in P.E. too enthusiastically. Revenge of the nonjocks!
I think I have expended my energy for the day. I think I shall traipse,
via subway, uptown to the art museum, dozing in its extremely cold
interior...
