Hey! I'm back! I'm great! I passed my written exam and now I need to start
on my probability final. hmmm. I think I will take the day off to
celebrate, shop, and do laundry. (Speaking of shopping, there's no sales
tax (usu 8.5%) on clothes this week. I do need a new pair of jeans.)

So I'm looking at my schedule and have noticed that I have no classes on
Thursday _and_ Friday. So.... some people may be getting surprise weekend
visits...heh heh heh.

Okay, I have learned many things over the break period. First up, a
compare/contrast list of airplane vs. train.

Train Airplane
* Penn Station just a subway * Subway trip, stupid long haul
trip or short cab ride away (will _not_ happen again) around
Grand Central, and short bus trip
					to LaGuardia
* Train leaves at 6:30 am * Non-stop flights to Raleigh
					throughout the day
* Train trip takes 11 hours * Plane trip one and a half
* Nice array of food in cafe car	* Salted peanuts and tea
got a hot dog and muffin
* Sat in roomy Custom Class Car * On the wing. Every time.
At least I can watch the flaps.
* Nice, long naps * Turbulence gets me ill
* Had to back up 4 miles to get * Delays of an hour or so
  around stopped train
* Roundtrip cost 160 			* Roundtrip cost 160
* Reading _Homeless Times_ in * Watching CNN Airport Network,
the station, sitting on the floor Rosie O'Donnell Show
* Nice countryside to watch go by	* Lovely view of the clouds, brown
					  haze around NYC, don't see
ground until right over trees in
					  Raleigh

Can't say which way is better. The train has a lot of pleasant
advantages, but an 11 hour trip can be too much.

Next observation: riding through/flying over Queens and Brooklyn, I have
decided that area is mainly graveyards. I would not like to live in
either place, though it might be cool to walk around the cemetaries. The
only cemetary larger that I have seen is in Arlington.

I'm trying to learn how to knit. I, with Stuart, cleaned out one quarter
of my grandma's attic and found my ma's knitting stuff from college.

I've only attained the level of rapmaster in ToeJam & Earl, and since
Stuart has gotten to be a Funk Lord, I'm going to have to improve my
record when next I return. Jason doesn't realize that he has aquired a
sporadic piece of living room furniture by leaving his house open to us.
heh heh heh....

Tra la la.
