So banana bread has come & gone, and I sing my banana song.
I told off the elevator thoroughly this morning when it decided that the
11th floor was too disreputable to stop on. It had to go all the way to
the top. Truthfully, I think the elevators around here only need to stop
on the 1st and 13th floors -- most people can walk down stairs. Perhaps
that would speed things up. Probably not.
Let's see, about this time every week I give up on finishing my complex
variables homework, and I've done that. So I'm on schedule.
Listening to the news this morning on the Asia-Pacific Economic group this
morning made me wonder about foreign policy of the U.S. The U.S. is
rather friendly to China and rather unfriendly to Cuba. Is there anyone
thinking around ther or does noone really care that the hypocrisy is
evident? If someone thinks that trade will corrupt China into becoming
an out-an-out capitalistic society, why don't we try subverting Cuba in
the same manner? If we're so against communism and human rights abuses,
and that's why Cuba is cut off, why isn't China cut off? I know the
answers to my questions, but I'm feeling pissy right now.
So............notice I haven't written about much that I've been doing
lately? Well, that's because everything that has been happening to me
recently is in the form of math or online crap. Both of which are
inherently boring conversational topics unless one is personally involved.
I think interesting things happening to me is Poisson-distributed, and I
haven't figured out the lambda yet.
