Well, here I am in school today, because NYU is cheap with holidays.
There is an all-around-the-Park tour of Central Park today at 10 that I
had wanted to go to. Poo.
Let me take back what I said on Friday, not all used clothes stores are a
ripoff. I went to a thrift store on MacDougal at 8th St., and got some
brown courdoroy pants, green jeans, and a sweater for $8 each! I'm going
back there again sometime....Also, bought more books -- two I actually
needed for studying purposes, then I saw there was a new Dilbert (cartoon)
book out and a new This Modern World book. And Shakespeare & Co. is
having a 20% sale on all hardcovers until Halloween...so I had better stay
away from there.
I ate extremely well on Saturday, thank you very much, first a sumptuous
breakfast of spaghetti and related items, then a hearty repast at the
Dolby's in Yorktown Heights, then at a Tennessee barbecue place in Soho.
Man, I love onion rings. Problem was, all that richness got to me on
Sunday. I think I was eating carrots and apricots all day.
The weather has been wonderful, in case you're curious, but I wish it
would decide between warm and cool. I found out my cousin Wirt works at a
store that's only two blocks from my apartment, so I've got to bug him
sometime. I saw the NYU Fall Dance performance, and it was really cool,
but I think the dance group at State was just as good. I think the last
two pieces were the best, first one called Muezzin (the guy who calls
people to prayer in Islam) which was a very energetic and then one called
Fire Journeys, which was inspired by _The Last Temptation of Christ_.
Busy, busy, busy. I need to go grocery shopping and do my homework and
loads of other stuff, too. Something like that.
I'll think about it.
